Program Development Specialist
BASIC PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Program Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the development of health and wellness programs and tactics to increase market-share growth for both consumer and business segments for California Health & Longevity Institute (CHLI).
These projects will encompass such tasks as preparing and managing program project plans and schedules, creating and reviewing program business requirements, conducting research, developing presentations and other reference materials, managing project target completion dates, supporting the implementation and execution of programs, understanding issues and developing feasible and efficient solutions and interacting with clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Create and develop health and wellness consumer and business CHLI programs, products and supporting materials (i.e. classes, workshops, packages, events).
Evaluate existing CHLI programs, pricing, schedules and utilization for enhancement and revenue opportunities.
Assess new revenue sources (i.e. products, webinars, newsletters).
Create and edit articles and other educational content used for CHLI.com and publications.
Oversee CHLI.com Wellness Connection blog content and tracking processes
Research and analyze corporate wellness programs, health, spa and travel & leisure trends, competitors and client feedback.
Act as diplomatic liaison between prospects, clients, subject matter experts and CHLI and Four Seasons executives.
Create programming criteria, processes and standards.
Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for business process improvement (approach, tactics, methods).
Identify and create brand and product messaging, promotions and collateral materials to support sales cycle.
Manage interdisciplinary projects to ensure quality programs, instruction and delivery.
Work with outside vendors and business partners to manage projects and deadlines as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Education:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience:
2-4 years previous product development experience in a corporate setting required.
1-3 years previous experience in project management required.
In-depth experience creating professional PowerPoint presentations required. (Examples required.)
Previous experience in business development, education or training preferred.
Health & Wellness, Spa or Travel & Leisure industry experience a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Advanced proficiency with all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint).
Superior creative and copy writing experience and skills. (Examples required.)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to adapt based on addressees.
Must be extremely detail oriented with outstanding time management and organizational skills.
Proven research and presentation development expertise.
Exceptional analytical skills with ability to visualize the larger picture impact.
Must be able to function independently and as a team player.
First-rate customer service and guest relations skills.
High energy, go-getter with initiative to find improvement opportunities.
Flexible and able to thrive in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated problem solving skills and sound business judgment.
